Although all these symptoms paint a negative image of someone suffering from attention deficit disorder, it is important to note that it does not always lead to failure. Such people usually succeed in certain fields because of their ability to be highly focused on an interesting subject. Another surprising factor about people suffering ADD is that they are very compassionate. This however, leads some people to classify them as being aloof. However, they are sensitive in general and very intelligent.
So what actually causes ADD? Scientists say that ADD usually results from chemical imbalances in the brain or in some cases; it can be a genetic factor. Some scientists also claim that the environment a child grows up in can condition him or her to be hyperactive. In children, ADD causes them to be overwhelmed especially when faced with too much information.
